If you have been told you need a tooth extracted, an implant placed, or a jaw issue corrected, finding the right oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Long Island can feel overwhelming, especially when you want a provider who treats you as a person, not just a procedure. Patients near Brentwood, NY often search for someone nearby who combines hospital-level training with a comfortable, judgment-free environment, and that search shouldn’t add more stress to an already uncertain situation.

We are Precision Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and we built our practice around exactly that need. Led by Dr. Mohamed El-Ounsi, a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who served as Chief Resident at NYU Langone and Bellevue Hospital, one of the nation’s top training programs, we bring hospital-caliber surgical skill to a private practice setting close to home for Brentwood residents.

Why Brentwood Patients Choose Us

Brentwood sits at the heart of Suffolk County, surrounded by communities we already serve, including Islip, West Islip, and East Islip. We understand the pace of life here, and we designed our scheduling and treatment approach to fit it.

Same-Day Care When You Need It

We know oral pain rarely waits for a convenient time. That is why we offer same-day consultations and procedures, so you are not stuck waiting weeks while a broken tooth or infection worsens. We also provide urgent same-day care for dental emergencies, giving Brentwood patients a reliable option when something goes wrong unexpectedly.

Our ability to perform immediate implant placement means we can often replace an extracted tooth with an implant during the same visit. This matters for patients balancing work schedules, childcare, or long commutes who cannot afford multiple separate appointments spread across weeks or months.

Comprehensive Oral Surgery Services

We perform full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, with particular focus in dentoalveolar and implant surgery and IV sedation. Whether you need a routine extraction or a more involved reconstructive procedure, we tailor the plan to your anatomy and goals rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our core services include:

Some patients, particularly those who have avoided care due to fear of the extraction process, benefit from understanding what modern oral surgery actually involves before committing to treatment.

Wisdom Teeth and Extractions

Wisdom tooth extraction remains one of the most common procedures we perform, and for good reason. Wisdom teeth frequently become impacted or misaligned as jaws grow, which can lead to pain, crowding, or infection if left untreated. We walk every patient through why extraction is or is not the right call, rather than defaulting to removal without a clear clinical reason.

Implants and Full Arch Solutions

For patients missing one tooth or an entire arch, we utilize advanced technologies like platelet rich fibrin (PRF) and high-quality dental implants and materials for optimal, lasting results. We source biomaterials individually for each case, rather than using a generic supply chain, which allows us to match the graft or implant material to your specific bone density and healing profile. This individualized sourcing approach is one of the details that sets our full arch and full arch rehabilitation work apart from more assembly-line practices.

Sedation Options for Anxious Patients

We recognize that fear of the dentist’s chair keeps many people from seeking care until a small problem becomes a painful one. To address this, we offer a full range of sedation options, from local anesthesia to IV sedation to general anesthesia, so you remain comfortable regardless of the complexity of your procedure.

Our team is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, giving us the training to safely monitor patients through sedation from start to finish. We also work directly with Brentwood-area patients on financing, accepting CareCredit, Cherry, Alphaeon, and Proceed, along with most major dental insurance plans, so cost concerns do not stand between you and needed treatment.
